The Lumière Gala began as the Grand Opening event for Brookstreet Hotel in June of 2003. The success of this unique and unforgettable event prompted Brookstreet's chairman, Terry Matthews, to decide that Lumière should continue as an annual event.

The 2009 event will highlight Clifford Lyness, Executive Chef of the award-winning, four-diamond Perspectives Restaurant. Chef Lyness and his culinary team will be presenting a myriad of stations where wines are matched to sumptuous "local-flavour" food choices highlighting top-quality ingredients from the National Capital region.

Guests can expect top notch service, musical entertainment, exciting live and silent auctions, and a spectacular fireworks display to end the evening.
